How to play D7

  1. Your middle finger on the G string at the 2nd fret.
  2. Your index finger on the B string at the 1st fret.
  3. Your ring finger on the high E string at the 2nd fret.
  4. Let the D string ring open.
  5. Don't play the low E and A strings: start your strum on the D string.

Play it as x 5 7 5 7 5, a barre at the 5th fret. Switch the guitar's chord level from Standard to Up to hear it.

  1. Lay your index finger flat across the A to the high E string at the 5th fret.
  2. Your ring finger on the D string at the 7th fret.
  3. Your little finger on the B string at the 7th fret.
  4. Don't play the low E string: start your strum on the A string.
